We work with entrepreneurs operating in their first 1–5 years — the most dangerous stage where 70% of small businesses fail due to informal operations, lack of structure, weak controls, and decisions made from emotion instead of data.

OUR STORY

UniBlack Consulting was founded by Mr. Sibusiso B. Mngadi, a management consultant with 10+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, training, coaching and organizational performance.

​

Before establishing UniBlack Consulting, Mr. Mngadi spent over a decade as a Training Manager for a FASSET-funded Work-Readiness Programme — a highly impactful initiative designed for unemployed accounting graduates.

​

A Legacy of Supporting the Development of close to 6,000 Future Accountants

​

Over his tenure, Mr. Mngadi trained, coached, mentored, and groomed close to 6,000 unemployed accounting graduates, equipping them with the technical and professional skills required to thrive in accounting firms.

​

Through this program:

​

  • 70% of graduates are now employed in professional accounting careers.

  • Many went on to become chartered accountants, management accountants, tax practitioners, and audit professionals.

  • Others have founded their own accounting firms and continue contributing to the profession.

  • The program became so successful and respected that most accounting firm owners refused to hire trainees who had not gone through the 6‑month Work-Readiness program.

 

A Training Programme Built on Transformational Skills

The curriculum under his leadership was rigorous, practical, and deeply transformational. It included:

  • Business etiquette

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Interview and negotiation skills

  • Code of conduct for accountants

  • Ethics & morals in the workplace

  • Professionalism and workplace rules

  • Computer literacy for professionals

  • Basic bookkeeping

  • Technical accounting and workplace readiness

 

This experience opened a unique window into the struggles many young professionals face — skills gaps, lack of structure, lack of guidance, and being overlooked because they were “too much work.”

Why UniBlack Consulting Was Born

​

When Mr. Mngadi decided to enter management consulting, the choice to specialize in early-stage founders was natural.

​

He had seen firsthand:

​

  • What happens when talented people are sidelined because they lack basic structure.

  • How individuals with potential are dismissed as “too much work.”

  • How much transformation is possible when someone installs systems, teaches foundational routines, and provides structure.

 

Just like disadvantaged graduates, early-stage founders often:

  • Are overlooked because they are seen as too informal

  • Struggle because they lack systems, guidance, and clarity

  • Have potential but need foundational skills to thrive

 

UniBlack Consulting was built to be the partner that early-stage founders desperately need — the one that transforms potential into operational excellence.

 

Through years of working with small business owners, Sibusiso noticed a consistent pattern:

  • Operations were informal, inconsistent, and dependent on the founder.
